About Rova
Rova is a shopping search for the brands marketplaces bury. It is in private preview in the UK and the US.
Why I built it
Most of my clothes shopping had moved online, but the results stopped serving me as a shopper: the same brands every time, often ones I wouldn't shop with, placed by who paid rather than what I wanted. It is tiring always being the product. So I built the search I wanted, one that works for the shopper and finds the pieces you would never otherwise see.
How it works
- Search the way you'd describe it to a friend, like "mint green dress".
- You'll see 14 pieces spread across lots of brands, so smaller ones get a look in.
- Keep the ones you like, then click shuffle to cycle through more options. Your keeps stay put, so your potential buys aren't lost.
- Every brand that matches gets a fair chance. No brand can pay to be first, and what you click never changes what anyone else sees.
- Set a price limit, or tap Inspire me for a random mix of brands.
- Found it? You buy straight from the brand or the shop that sells it.
Rova today
We are starting with fashion, to bring curiosity and discovery back to buying clothes online. Today our search shows over 100,000 pieces from over 1,500 brands, sold by over 300 shops. We're adding more all the time, and hope to grow and change together.
